With sustainability as a key pillar for the collaboration, Exeger and 3M have incorporated clean power directly into products used by millions of people. The first products – 3M PELTOR™ WS™ ALERT™ XPV hearing protector for professionals and 3M WorkTunes Connect + Solar hearing protector for US consumers – launched in 2024.
Given 3M’s deep understanding of the demanding environments faced by safety equipment, they pushed Exeger to refine Powerfoyle solar cells to withstand extreme conditions, including impact, moisture, temperature fluctuations and outdoor exposure. Through joint testing, iterative development and knowledge sharing, 3M and Exeger worked together to make Powerfoyle rugged and resilient enough to integrate into safety equipment. This collaboration reinforced our companies’ commitment to innovation and product excellence.
