MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
We have invented a solar cell technology that enables endless energy, Powerfoyle. Not only will it change the world, but it also means you will work with leading technology, science, and machines – all under the same roof in our urban factories. We are passionate about the potential of our technology to make products better and easier to use. We build the next generation of clean green industry and unite in the vision of touching the lives of a billion people.
WHO WE ARE
We are on an exciting journey to bring our groundbreaking solar cell technology to the world. Sprung out of the solid Swedish industrial heritage, we are now in the stage of industrializing at scale to create real, impactful change.
A novel technology means that most of what we do has never been done before. It’s challenging to create something new, and at Exeger we embrace that challenge with grit and passion, because we know that what we do matters.
We are now expanding our Production team and are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who wants to work close to the production line and play a key role in shaping robust, scalable manufacturing processes.
YOU WILL DO
Production at Exeger is responsible for delivering on strategic operational goals – meeting customer expectations for quality, cost, delivery and safety, while continuously improving efficiency and performance.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work hands-on with daily observation of production processes, identifying deviations, and driving improvements based on data and structured problem-solving.
You will act as a first line of support in case of production stops or process issues and take ownership of defining and implementing improvements with clear targets (OEE, productivity, process stability, HSE).
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily process control, performance monitoring and capability analysis
- Writing and maintaining production documentation (SOPs, work instructions, operator manuals, TPMs)
- Performing PFMEA and defining Control Plan
- Standardizing production processes and ensuring robust documentation
- Supporting manufacturing functions by co-developing technical process specifications for new processes and equipment, and actively participating in SAT as a core project team member
- Planning and justifying process improvements, including cost estimation
- Playing a key role in industrialization and new product introduction, by co-leading implementation projects
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You hold a university degree in Engineering or Manufacturing and have a few years of experience in a similar industrial environment. You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your processes, while collaborating closely with production, quality and technical teams.
Experience from high-standard industries such as automotive, aerospace, space, naval or similar is highly valued. Background in automation is a plus.
Experience in plastic lamination, paper making, large-scale printing, laser cutting and engraving, as well as experience in leading improvement projects (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent), is considered a merit.
You are proficient with:
- 3D CAD tools and technical documentation
- Statistical process control and capability analysis (SPC, Cp/Cpk)
- Process characterization (CTP/CTQ, process mapping, DOE-based characterization)
- Quality and process tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA / Gage R&R, RCA)
- ERP and MES systems
- Equipment commissioning and industrialization activities (FAT / SAT, ramp-up)
- OEE tracking (loss analysis and performance optimization)
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (DMAIC, Kaizen, PDCA)
- Lean tools and shopfloor practices (5S, standard work, visual management)
- Modern AI-supported analysis tools
You are passionate about process improvement and continuous development. You enjoy solving complex problems, are structured in your way of working, and value standardization and documentation. You are curious, proactive, and motivated to contribute to Exeger’s transformation from innovation to large-scale industrial production.
