ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – PROTOTYPING & ADVANCED PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Location

Deadline

June 7, 2026

We have invented a solar cell technology that enables endless energy, Powerfoyle. Not only will it change the world, but it also means you will work with leading technology, science, and machines – all under the same roof in our urban factories. We are passionate about the potential of our technology to make products better and easier to use. We build the next generation of clean green industry and unite in the vision of touching the lives of a billion people.

WHO WE ARE

We are on an exciting journey to bring our groundbreaking solar cell technology to the world.  A novel technology means that most of what we do has never been done before. It’s challenging to create something new, and at Exeger we embrace that challenge with grit and passion, because we know that what we do matters.

YOU WILL DO

You will work hands-on with advanced electronics to turn ideas into fast, functional prototypes together with customers, researchers, and internal teams. Your role covers the full journey from concept to working demonstrator, combining electronics design, embedded systems, mechanics, and energy technologies.

You will design and build electronic prototypes from scratch, including PCB design, system integration, and firmware development. You will work with energy storage, charging solutions, power management, and measurement of efficiency and power consumption, often connected to Powerfoyle-based energy harvesting and solar charging concepts.

A significant part of the role involves building test and measurement systems such as dataloggers, internal test fixtures, and custom tools using advanced laboratory equipment. You will also design mechanical parts and enclosures, iterate rapidly using CAD and 3D printing, and integrate electronics into real products.

You will collaborate closely with customers in technical meetings and workshops, providing guidance on system architecture, schematics, prototyping strategies, charging solutions, and how our technology can be integrated into next-generation products such as consumer electronics, wearables, IoT devices, and energy-enabled systems.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a highly driven, curious, and hands-on electrical engineer who genuinely loves building things and solving difficult technical problems. You thrive in a broad role with high pace, ownership, and variety.

You likely have 5–10 years of experience in electronics, embedded systems, or product development, and have taken products from idea to working prototype or finished product. You are comfortable working across disciplines—electronics, firmware, mechanics—and enjoy moving between lab, workshop, and customer discussions.

You communicate fluently in English and are confident in customer-facing technical discussions. You naturally use modern AI tools in your daily work for development, debugging, research, and documentation.

Experience in several of the following is beneficial:

– Electronics design and PCB layout (e.g. KiCad or similar)
– Embedded systems and firmware (C/C++/Python)
– Battery, charging, and low-power systems
– Measurement equipment and laboratory work
– CAD and mechanical integration (e.g. Fusion 360)
– Rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and PCB assembly
– IoT, sensor integration, wireless communication (BLE/WiFi/NFC)
– Embedded Linux, scripting, automation, and AI-assisted development
