YOU WILL DO
The Hardware Team is responsible for mechanical and electrical design and development work. It also includes the construction of machines, equipment, jigs, and tools for the manufacturing of Exegers’s unique Powerfoyle solar cell technology. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for, among other things:
* Concept development and detailed design of mechanical systems and component
* 3D modeling and preparation of manufacturing drawings
* Dimensioning and performing strength- and performance calculations
* Participation in installation and commissioning of machines
* Project work in collaboration with electrical, software, and production team
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our Hardware Team, part of our Industrialization Department, is now looking for our next stellar Mechanical Engineer/Designer to help enable the future of energy independence.
Given our fast-paced growth, global ambitions, and disruptive technology, this role requires the ability to independently perform mechanical design of complete machines, sub-assemblies, and individual components. The role also includes creating manufacturing drawings, performing CAM programming, and preparing associated technical documentation.
We value hands-on experience in building, designing, and testing mechanical equipment, as well as knowledge of the Machinery Directive and the CE-marking process. An understanding of the basic principles of creating and maintaining product structures and parts in ERP and PDM systems throughout the product lifecycle is also important.
To thrive in this role, you should have both the experience and the interest to collaborate with colleagues across different parts of the organization.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
* An MSc or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Documented experience in 3D mechanical design and CAM programming for machining.
* Good knowledge of SolidWorks and Fusion.
* A solid understanding of industrial automation.
* A hands-on mindset and enjoy working in our workshop.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
