Meiyin Acoustics and Exeger to showcase Powerfoyle™ hearing protector at A+A 2025

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY – NOVEMBER 4, 2025

Exeger the Swedish deep-tech company behind the revolutionary Powerfoyle™ solar cell technology, today announces a partnership with Meiyin Acoustics, a leading manufacturer in advanced hearing protection.

Together, they have developed a proof-of-concept hearing protector with enhanced battery life powered by both natural outdoor light and ambient indoor light, demonstrating how solar technology can extend device usage without traditional charging methods. The specific device has been tweaked for the hunting and shooting-segment, although the two companies will continue to develop devices for the industrial segment as well. Meiyin will unveil the innovative design at A+A 2025, which runs from 4th to 7th November, giving attendees a first look at how their unique noise cancelling technology can be combined with Exeger’s self charging solution.

Exeger and Meiyin share a core focus on durability and quality. Powerfoyle is unique in its ability to efficiently convert all forms of light into energy to continuously power any device. It is the world’s most durable solar cell and undergoes rigorous testing to enhance its longevity and resistance to wear and tear. Powerfoyle is non-toxic and made from abundantly available raw materials.

Meiyin’s extensive experience in the hearing protection industry extends the adoption of Powerfoyle technology within the hearing protection segment. This collaboration enables Meiyin to use a reliable and environmentally friendly power source that harnesses all forms of light which, owing to its versatility in design, shape and texture, can be seamlessly integrated for a high-quality finished product.

Georgios Foufas, Chief Commercial Officer at Exeger says:

“We’re thrilled to partner with Meiyin Acoustics to demonstrate the potential of Powerfoyle within the hearing protection segment. Yiming Hua (Mark), General Manager at Nanjing Meiyin Acoustics Technology Co., Ltd. continues:

“Partnering with Exeger allows us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in hearing protection. By integrating Powerfoyle’s self-charging technology, we can offer users extended operational time and reduced maintenance which are critical advantages in demanding, high-noise environments. This project reflects our shared commitment to innovation, safety and sustainability, and we’re proud to present the first proof-of-concept at A+A 2025.”
